Dr. Chris Marczak is the Director of Schools for the Maury County Public School System in Maury County, Tennessee. Since arriving in August 2015, Dr. Marczak has implemented a systemic and systematic community-created district-wide improvement plan titled the “Keys to College and Career Readiness”; launched a school-based instructional coaching initiative with ninety-six classroom teachers grassroots leading Professional Learning Communities, Project/Problem-Based Learning, and Data to inform student learning; and activated the community to begin the process of deploying devices to students and teachers for an impending 1:1 program.  Dr. Marczak leads trainings across Tennessee as a leader of district and principal professional development, SMART goal implementation, Professional Learning Communities, and the impact of Social Media on the Superintendency for the TN Organization of School Superintendents.  Dr. Marczak is also an adjunct professor at both David Lipscomb and Trevecca Nazarene Universities, in Nashville, TN, where he teaches in the Doctoral programs for both Educational Leadership and Instructional Technology in Educational Leadership.  Prior to coming to Maury County, Dr. Marczak was the Assistant Superintendent in Oak Ridge Schools in Tennessee, a district Lead Principal with Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, an elementary principal and assistant principal, and an elementary teacher with Wilson County Schools and Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools; McGavock Elementary, where Dr. Marczak served as principal, earned Reward status by being one of the top 10% elementary schools in the state of Tennessee in 2012.
